Homework Policy:

In order to be successful in math, you must PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE!

Assignments are generally due on Fridays unless otherwise noted on your assignment sheet.  Each homework assignment is worth 5 points based off of the following requirements:

  • Assignments must be done in pencil
  • Assignments must be graded in pen (no marker or black pen)
  • Assignments must show all work
  • Assignments must be done in Cornell Note Style
  • Assignments must be complete

Supplies Needed:

  • Lined Paper
  • Graph Paper
  • Pencils/erasers
  • Correcting pen

Test Policy:

A student may retake their test no matter what grade they received on their initial test.  They have one week from the time tests are passed back to retake the test.  Tests must be retaken on the students own time, not during any scheduled class.  If the student scores higher on the retake, the new test will replace the original test for a new grade.  If the student scores lower on the new test, it will not be counted and the student will remain with their original grade.

The student must do test corrections before retaking the test.  If a student is in 8th grade, they must do the test corrections in math tutorial and get Mrs. Silvias signature on their test corrections.

It is up to the student to come in and retake the test.  There may not be prompting from the teacher.

The student may make corrections on their tests without retaking it to earn 1 point back.  This must be done within one week of getting the test handed back.

All tests must be finished during the class period.

No retakes on quizzes.
